William R. Wilder

William R. Wilder is a member of Baptiste & Wilder, P.C. and has actively practiced labor and employment law representing employees and labor organizations since 1997. Bill’s practice has a particular focus on representing employees and labor organizations in the airline and rail industries covered by the Railway Labor Act.  Bill has successfully represented various classifications of employees in the airline industry in dispute resolution settings, including negotiation, arbitration, litigation and interest arbitration.  He was involved in the first contested Section 1113 bankruptcy contract modification litigation in the airline industry at Kitty Hawk International and has represented employees in other bankruptcy proceedings since then, including the pilots of Republic Airways in that airline's 2016-2017 bankruptcy reorganziation and the mechanics of Frontier Airlines during its 2008-2009 bankruptcy reorganization. 

Bill has also represented airline employee groups in seniority integration proceedings, including most recently pilots of the former US Airways in that airline's merger with American Airlines.  

In addition to representation of employees and organizations under the Railway Labor Act, Bill has represented trustees of ERISA benefit plans in the arbitration of trustee deadlock disputes.

Bill also represents individuals in employment matters involving negotiation of employment agreements, severance agreements and discrimination claims.
